Even Witches Have Homework

Assignment: Contacting from Beyond - Preliminary Entry

     My professor at the Academy thought that it would be a good idea for us to try to contact someone not in our world. She says that it is good for young witches to be curious about worlds beyond our own so that we have a better understanding of where we fit in life. Personally, I think that there is enough to see in our world. I'm not sure if I am starting this preliminary entry off right, but I suppose I will get better at writing entries as time moves on.

     My name is Madeline. I am a half-witch; my father is a witch and my mother is a human. I don't get along with my father very well, he doesn't like my fascination for human objects. I think human objects are terrific. Like right now, I am writing on this laptop. Who needs scrolls and messenger owls anymore? My favorite meal is fish and chips. I like to read, take nature photos, and listen to music. My favorite comic is Froggy-Girl Goes Wild! I'm in school to hone my witch powers, but I know that I don't want to be a witch. I want to be a journalist. Maybe I could be a witch journalist? I don't know.

     That's all for now. Again, I don't know if I did this right. If I receive no reply then I know that something must have gone wrong in transportation. If someone or something out there has received this post, I want to ask what your world is like.
